Without good vision, our ability to read, see, and learn about the world becomes difficult. Many vision problems begin when we are young, so it's very important to take good care of your eyes now. Untreated eye problems can get worse and lead to other serious problems as well as affect learning ability, personality, and success in school.
Some tips for maintaining healthy vision:
- Have a regular eye exam to make sure that your eyes are healthy and that you have the correct eyeglass or contact lens prescription (if necessary).
- When working at the computer or reading for a long time:
- Rest your eyes
- Remember to blink!
- Use eye drops if your eyes feel dry
